Most Krannert study abroad trip do not interfere with summer internships.

Short-Term Study Abroad

Several short-term study programs 万宝路平台登录are available for masters students. Trips are of one to two weeks in duration and take place in March during Global Week and Spring Break as well as in May, right after the semester ends. One week trips may be taken back-to-back, meaning you may choose to go to Rome during Global Week and then to Paris or another location during Spring Break week. Program activities typically consist of a mixture of classroom lectures, company visits, and cultural tours. 

Business in Peru Program

The Business in Peru program plans to kick off the first internship over spring break 2020. This course is a two credit management level class hosted by the Center and Tlogistica of Lima, Peru. The program will target MBA students to provide them with the occasion to work on real-life business problems and provide solutions to businesses in Peru. Projects will be implemented by the companies involved and will be related to the subjects of supply chain, manufac­turing and operations. In addition to a rich learning opportunity, students will be exposed to cultural activities as well including a weekend trip to Machu Picchu. This program is designed to further enhance student classroom learning. Eduardo Huerta-Mercado is a ‘00 grad of the Krannert MBA program & current director of Softeon LATAM & director of INvent Technologies with whom DCMME is partnering.

Internships

A two week internship with TVS Motors in Bangalore, India, is available from GSCMI. Unlike study tours, internships require students to work on specific manufacturing management projects and do not include lectures or cultural tours. 

International Consulting Projects

The Experiential Learning Initiative (ELI) provides consulting opportunities to teams of Krannert masters students. Projects are typically two modules in length during the spring semester.
